FO6800A series of products are innovative HDMI connectivity devices capable of transmitting high definition video, audio, and control signals simultaneously down one thin, transparent, fiber cable at distances up to 1000M. These products use no compression and support Hollywood approved content protection, HDCP. Focused on improving the digital home, these products allow consumers to place their home electronics in the most convenient places in the home without breaking open walls to pull cables around.

The FO6800A Kits make it quick and easy to install an HD projections system, LCD TV or any other HDMI display by including a run of 100 ft or 200 ft fiber and all the necessary components in one convenient package. Installations with the FO6800A kits result in a clean look and the confidence of a hard-wired connection providing best in quality Ultra High Resolution HDMI signal transmission, HDMI audio, an additional separate stereo audio channel, and IR blasting for remote control operation of source media.

FO6800A Kits are available with 100 or 200 foot cable lengths, and with either Clear fiber optic cable (resembles the look and feel of fishing line), or the sturdier PE cable. OWLink Clear fiber is uniquely suited for installations requiring an ultra-clean look and the need to ‘hide’ the cable. Clear fiber is Riser Rated (OFNR) and easily run along ceilings, walls, or baseboards with its’ .9mm diameter radius. OWLink PE cable is suited for hardier installations still requiring the use of an ultra-thin line. The PE cable is Riser Rated (OFNR) and covered with a rugged polyethylene jacket and Kevlar protection, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations. Both fiber cables provide provide the same high quality transmission through the use of Low Loss Technology OWLink fiber.

Suitable uses in addition to home-theater installations include commercial applications such as sports bars, digital signage/public display, gyms, and houses of worship. The easy do-it-yourself installation and the length and quality of transmission distance provide a unique solution by bypassing the need to run cables through walls to achieve a clean look and long-distance runs. Additionally, the FO6800 allows running a separate audio channel, meaning the display can access a separate video and audio source. This makes is it possible, for example, to watch a sports event while listening to your music from an MP3 player.

Unique multi-source or multi-display installations can be accomplished by installing along with an external A/V switch and additional OWLink kits, transmitters or receivers. The FO6800A system is also compatible with VGA and DVI-equipped components using an appropriate DVI-to-HDMI or VGA-to-HDMI adapter (not included).

The OWLink FO6800A-KIT-PE200 HDMI-Fiber Optic Connectivity System includes one FO6800A TX transmitter, one FO6800 RX receiver, one 200 ft length of OWLink PE indoor/outdoor fiber optic cable with pre-installed fast connectors, two HDMI cables, one IR emitter, one IR sensor, and power sources for the transmitter and receivers.
