DLP® Filter-Free Design
Dust is everywhere. In schools, conference rooms, auditoriums and in your home, LCD projectors require filters to keep dust at bay. These filters are in place to prevent possible degradation to the optics and LCD panels. DLP® projectors enable sealed optics which do not require filters. The benefit? Reduced maintenance which typically translates to significantly lower operating costs.
The frequency for cleaning a projector's filter is normally every 100 - 300 hours. Replacement of the filter is often recommended at each lamp replacement (every 2,000 - 3,000 hours). Filter-free DLP® projectors eliminate the need for this periodic cleaning and replacement.
Skip the filter. Skip the dust. Save time and money. Most DLP® projectors are filter-free, though some are not. Click here to use our handy "Projector Finder" and get a list of DLP® projectors that are filter-free »
