I just wanted to drop a note to Projector People to show what I've done with my purchase. It started with a "bonus room" above the garage. It's 16X20 and really only ever served as a place for the dogs to sleep in the sun during the day. But, after being directed to the Projector People website by a friend I knew what I had to do. The result is fantastic. I didn't have a lot of money to spend, but I wanted it done right. I finished the project in under $8,000, and that's including the new furniture. I first began with the construction of a media closet that would be tucked away in a dead space behind the rear wall of the theater.

This room was insulated for sound to prevent too much noise filtering into the Master Bedroom. I built a cabinet for the closet with removable backs so I could access the back side of the theater components with ease. After that was ready it was time to run the wiring and paint the theater. All the wires and cables are contained in the attic and walls, so nothing is visible except the speakers and projector. I purchased a 5.1 system of Onyx ELT Rockets with a Pioneer receiver. I also ordered the Panasonic PT-AE700U from Projector People in August of 2005. The screen is a DIY project consisting of 3 coats of primer and three coats of Behr Silver Screen eggshell paint. It's absolutely perfect for when our 18-month old starts touching the screen with dirty hands. And, it cost me a whopping $30. After painting the screen I trimmed it with wood trim for a real nice finished look and added recessed lights for that perfect theater lighting.

My wife, who originally was not thrilled with the idea of a home theater, got into the act and helped pick out new furniture and accessories for the theater. After many, many hours of work it was done. We're now enjoying movies, sports, and I'm really enjoying gaming with my Xbox 360.

You guys are great! I've already recommended you to several people especially when they start talking about wasting their money on a 42-inch plasma. Keep up the good work.
