3 LCD Projector Advantages

3LCD projector technology touts three major advantages: 1.) brighter images, 2.) more natural looking images, and 3.) images that are easy on the eyes. Read on the learn more about how LCD projectors deliver these values.

Brighter images

3 LCD technology is designed to project bright, clear and vivid images. LCD projectors are engineered for high light efficiency, improving image brightness, generating less heat, and costing less to run. LCD projectors will send more photons of light to the screen than any other projection system.

LCD projects bright light 3LCD projectors offer superior light efficiency than competing technologies because the three primary colors are projected the whole time the projector is on. Other technologies may alternate colors to produce an image, this varying the brightness from frame to frame. 3LCD projectors ensure that users view an image that is both bright and sharp.

True, natural color

LCD projector reproduce accurate color 3LCD projectors faithfully reproduce the visible color spectrum to deliver a true expression of color, with smooth gradations in the dark and light areas. With 3LCD technology, the three primary colors of red, green and blue are independently controlled and recombined with accurate color registration. Because of this, users enjoy lifelike display of all colors, including skin tones and dark, shadowed areas.

Images that are easy on the eyes

rainbow effect3LCD projectors use three individual LCDs to produce images, so there are not the problems associated with color breakup from the alternate color wheel technology. Color break-up is a phenomenon sometimes associated with single-chip color sequential projection systems, such as DLP® (Digital Light Processing). It is known as the 'rainbow effect', where the image blurs and separates into its three component colors around the edges.

Example of the 'rainbow effect'
