Panasonic developed an extremely powerful lamp to realize an outstanding brightness of 2,000 ANSI lumens in the PT-AX200U. As of August 2007, this is the brightest 1280 x 720 (720p) resolution LCD projector available.

Fine Tuned by Hollywood Colorists for a True Cinema Experience

Panasonic's Cinema 1 Mode produces ideal image reproduction for viewing movies. In pursuit of the film director's original artistic intent, Panasonic works with leading Hollywood film colorists to tune the color space of the projector to match the color of the original film as closely as possible. The Pure Color Filter adjusts the light spectrum to produce a level of light that maximizes the performance of the LCD panels, expands the visible color range, and produces truer blacks. Cinema Color Management also allows individual color correction if desired.

High-Precision Iris Controls Light Output Frame-By-Frame

Panasonic has further refined its Dynamic Iris to provide the deeper, richer blacks needed for true image reproduction with stunning smoothness. This technology adjusts the lamp power, iris, and gamma curve according to data obtained from frame-by-frame histogram analysis of the image brightness level.

Smooth Screen Technology

Developed exclusively by Panasonic, this feature effectively reduces the black lines between the image pixels that can hinder picture quality. The high-definition picture of the PT-AX200 is remarkably smooth and film-like, while remaining amazingly sharp and detailed.

2x Optical Zoom Lens

The 2x optical zoom lens provides a wide throw range that gives you outstanding setup flexibility, letting you enjoy large-screen viewing in different sized rooms. Position it on a table in front of you, suspend it from the ceiling, or place it on a bookshelf behind you. Optical zoom will not compromise image quality they way digital zoom will.

Vertical and Horizontal Lens Shift

Quickly and easily adjust the positioning of the picture vertically and horizontally with Panasonic's clever lens joystick. The shift range is 63% of the screen height for vertical adjustment, and 25% of the screen width for horizontal adjustment. Once adjusted, turn the joystick to lock the position of the lens.

Two HDMI Inputs

Two digital HDMI inputs let you connect two high-definition devices, such as a Blu-Ray player and game console, at the same time. This eliminates the need for an HDMI switcher.

3:2 Pulldown and 24p Compatible

Progressive cinema scan 3:2 pulldown and 24p compatibility ensure the video playback maintains the integrity of the original film content by optimizing the frame rate.
