The people behind Projector People include highly-trained and professional AV sales representatives, a knowledgeable and courteous customer support team, a customer-focused and tech-savvy web department, and a detail-driven order processing group. There is no other group of individuals on the planet that is more passionate about projectors.

Martin Schaffel -- Owner & Managing Chairman

Martin Schaffel, president and CEO of Projector People's parent company, AVI-SPL (formerly Audio Visual Innovations, Inc.) founded the company in 1979. He began his career in management with a national retailer and later joined a large office products distributor. He has since built a successful business in the sale of audiovisual products to the corporate, education, military and government markets nationwide.

As the company's leader, Schaffel identifies market trends and hones his ability to adapt and to compete, as well as to provide cutting-edge audiovisual and presentation technology. In doing this, he spends a vast majority of his time in close contact with manufacturers as he dedicates himself to research and analysis of all new and current technology and products.

Schaffel is affiliated with numerous industry-related organizations, such as the Professional Education and Training Committee, ICIA's Sound and Video/Visual Design and Installation Committee, International Television Association, American Society of Training and Development (ASTD), Professional Labeling Association, International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce and the Tampa Committee of 100. He is on the Board of Directors of MarketSmart Technologies and the Board of Governors for the International Communications Industries Association (ICIA).

He has been awarded the Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) designation by the ICIA, and received an Honorable Mention in the International Association of Business Communications Excel Award, which recognizes Excellence in Communication Leadership (1997).

Stephenie Scanlon -- President & Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Stephenie Scanlon began her career in the audio visual industry in media and audiovisual services for the Hillsborough County, Florida schools. She also has experience with video production, holding positions in client services and traffic management.

In 1986, Stephenie joined AVI-SPL (formerly Audio Visual Innovations) as a sales representative for AVI's rental services division. Over the next several years, her career with AVI progressed as she assumed more challenging and critical responsibilities including systems sales, human resources, and sales and marketing management.

Stephenie's contributions over the past nineteen years include development and implementation of the architecture for AVI's overall sales and marketing organization. In 1998, she launched AVI's e-commerce and national telesales division, Projector People/AV Marketplace. Today she has ultimate responsibility for key departments and functions, including marketing and corporate communications, public relations, key supplier relationships, internet marketing, product management and vendor programs management, corporate and sales administration, business development and several vertical markets focused sales teams. She has led the creation of AVI University, the company's annual employee development and training initiative, which has received industry recognition as an outstanding dealer program.

Stephenie received her CTS, Certified Technology Specialist designation from ICIA (International Communications Industry Association) in 1999. Her speaking engagements include the American Society of Training and Development, and Sales and Marketing Executives of Tampa Bay. Stephenie serves as a member of the Professional Training and Education Committee of ICIA.

Jennifer Blomberg -- Senior Vice President of Sales

Jennifer Blomberg is senior vice president of sales for Projector People's parent company, AVI-SPL. Her responsibilities include sales management of AVI's national telesales e-commerce division of Projector People. Jennifer has been instrumental in the training and development of her sales team and developing sales and marketing strategies and initiatives.

Jennifer joined the AVI team eight years ago as an inside sales representative and grew sales in her division. She was later promoted to manager of inside and outside sales before becoming director of sales in 2001. Prior to joining AVI Jennifer held positions in sales, training, and leasing.

Kelly Lamison -- Vice President of Internet Marketing and Development

Kelly Lamison, Vice President of Internet Marketing and Development for Projector People and AVI-SPL, is responsible for the overall Internet Marketing strategy including the direction, functionality and personality of company websites, as well as the online advertising campaigns, marketing partnerships and content management.

She supervises a group of Internet professionals including designers, internet advertising specialists and developers. All Internet activities flow through this department.

Prior to joining Projector People six years ago, Kelly worked as an Assistant Curator at the University of South Florida Contemporary Art Museum for five years. She also has worked with the Ringling School of Art and Design; the International Academy of Merchandising and Design; taught computer graphics, multimedia and web design at the University of Tampa and was an Assistant Editor for Creative Loafing newspaper.

Kelly's strong background in design, Internet technology, editorial and marketing prepared her for the position she currently holds with Projector People.
