      Comments about Casio XJ-M250:

I have one in my living room. It's bright and no bulb to break. I love how quiet it is I can't hear it on the economy setting during the quiet time during the movie. Plenty bright enough. I also love the quick start up. By the time I turn on the remote and sit down it's fully on and when I turn it off the fan shuts off in a matter of seconds like 2-3. Over all I love this projector.

Is this s throw away projector? It seems that there is no lamp to change so when it eventually burns out you would need to purchase a new projector.

Yes. You will need to upgrade the projector long before the light source burns out.

I have one of these projectors and as far as I know yes you would need to
buy a new one. But being rated at 20,000 hours that would be 8 hours a day
for 2500 days or 8 hours a day for almost 7 years.
This projector has no lamp it uses laser and led's to project the light. I
have had mine for about 2 years and I have only put 750 hours on it. I love
              this projector.

There is a replaceable laser module but with a rating of 20,000 hours it is
going to outlive the rest of the device.

while this projector is designed as a business projector, you can use any projector in your home if you wish. keep in mind many people prefer a true HD projector, though, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. we have a section of HT projectors listed on our website

The XJ M250 is a reliable, good all-around projector. It's a little low on lumens (3,000) but color is decent, and I like it. (we have 50 in use, zero failure)
The benefit is, as you said, long bulb life. However, the hassle and cost of changing bulbs 5 times (rough) also count. The 16x9 format is great.
The questions are: room darkness, and allowing around 12 feet to projection wall (I project onto walls, not screens)

I've had it for over a year with 1400 bulb hours using it specifically as a
home theater projector and could not be happier with its performance. Its
even bright enough for day time use. (Note: I'm in Seattle, so it is never
actually all that bright outside.) Its surprisingly quiet and highly
              recommend it.
