Casio's Slim Series XJ-A141 incorporates a CAasio-developed and patent-pending Hybrid Light Source which combines Laser and LED technology for amazing high brightness that can last up to 20,000 hours. The Casio XJ-A141 is an earth-friendly, low maintenance, five pound projector with features such as a 2X Power Zoom Lens making it a great portable projector. The Slim Projector eliminates the need for a short life mercury lamp (typically 3,000 hours) and is economical to operate.
By combining a laser, a fluorescent element and an LED, Casio has created an original mercury-free hybrid light source* capable of generating high brightness. Casio has achieved high brightness output of green light, which until now, has been considered difficult with conventional semiconductor light sources, by efficiently converting blue laser light into green light using a fluorescent element.
Provides 10X longer light source life than Casio mercury lamp while being more economical based on lamp replacement. The XJ-A141 projector features quick startup and shutdown. The projector reaches its maximum brightness in a minimum of eight seconds and requires no cooling down period - an advantage for keeping presentations focused and smooth.
The XJ-A141 projector delivers a 50 percent increase in color spectrum for high impact presentations due to improvements in LED and laser technology. Superior color reproduction enhances color purity allowing visual effects to appear brighter and offering powerful images that conventional projectors cannot match.
Compared with conventional high-brightness projectors employing mercury lamps, Slim technology cuts costs as well as the time and effort involved in lamp exchange while maintain clear, high-quality images over an extended period. The lamp free design is backed by a comprehensive three year warranty including the light source; users can expect reliable worry free operation from the Slim projectors.
Whether you are in a small office or a large boardroom the 2X power zoom lens gives you the flexibility to easily position the projector.
The Automatic Brightness Adjustment, which adjusts lumen output based on the level of ambient light in the room, saves power, which saves money (and saves you from eye strain as well.)
A built-in HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) input provides a direct digital input and allows connectivity with many Widescreen Notebooks now shipping with HDMI outputs. Compatible with HD Video formats, HD Video sources including Blu-Ray players, cable converter boxes and gaming systems can be connected to the Slim projector.
*The Slim Series XJ-A141 can only be replaced by the Casio Factory Service Center. Disassembly of the projector and/or use of its technology or components for other purposes is potentially dangerous and strictly prohibited.

Comments about Casio XJ-A141:
Older model has remained bright for years. Super quick on and off. Defination is okay not great. Worst con is that when the light engine goes its pretty much trash. Factory repair only 600$

Comments about Casio XJ-A141:
After a year of use, small white dots started appearing. After that, black ones, so now if the background is black, we see stars, if the background is white, with see black dots everywhere.
The warranty is 3 years, but it will take two weeks to repair, plus the cost of shipping.
The problem according to Projector People.com is that there is a fault in the actual LED CHIP, that is causing this, and apparently, I'm not the only one.
I can't recommend this item until LED is mature enough.
Buy at your own risk, but that said, what are the options? a regular projector's light bulb not only consumes energy like crazy, but it will die sooner than later.
So there you have it, I guess the choice is to project or to go with the largest Flat Panel LED out there.

Q:
can this be also use inside church during day time3 answers
A:
The answers varies with when the church was constructed. The suggested maximum lighting in a room is one foot candle for videos and six foot candles for presentations. A review suggests images off this projector will not be visible in a room with open windows. Traditional churches have 5 to 15 foot candles and so have dim lighting so this projector may be barely feasible. But if the church is contemporary the lighting arrangements are brighter and then this projector is not recommended.A:
Depending on how bright your church is....but, yes it would definitely be good for a church.VERIFIED BUYER

Can you tell me what the specification are for Audio on this unit? How much noise does it produce when sitting turned on? Fans etc...2 answers
A:
The Casio is in the 31 db range. Not a distraction when doing a presentation. Hitachi does not offer LED based projectors.A:
This Casio slim projector is exceptionally quiet at idle and only slightly noticeable when the fans are in full force, and there aren't really any Hitachi units currently offered at this price-point with the same features.2 Day shipping on all projectors over $1000 for a limited time.
