Jordan Clarke - Victoria, Australia

Inventor

Goal: To survive school (age 14)

A few months ago, Projector People received an email from a young man with a very challenging question. In the correspondence, he wrote:

If you could please help me I would be so grateful.

How do LCD projectors work? Is there more than 1 panel in them or one for each of the colors?

...I purchased an old slide projector and pulled apart my old game boy. It had a small LCD screen in it and I put in a slide projector up side down and back to front and I got a massive game boy. Would this work with an LCD TV?

We quickly realized that Jordan's questions required expert technical answers. We sent Jordan's email to one of our service technicians, who corresponded with Jordan to help him make his very own LCD projector.

Jordan plans to enter his projector in a statewide science talent contest later this year. He already distinguished himself in the 2000 competition, where his smoke machine and disco light circuit earned him a major bursary.

Jordan is from Torquay, Victoria, which is known as the 'Surf Capital of Australia.' Jordan's family runs a business selling surfboard accessories. Jordan is not currently a Projector People customer and may never need to buy a projector since he makes his own.

Projector People applauds Jordan's passion for invention and projectors.
