Industry-wide Shipping Delays and Supply Chain Updates as of 12/4/2021
Our industry is still experiencing daily backorder updates and we expect these to continue through the remainder of the year.
As of this past week, there were around 70 container ships loaded with cargo waiting at anchor or drifting off the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, CA.
These port delays are compounded by an increase in new shippers, overstuffed container ships and an already congested port situation. Add to that the increased consumer demand for goods and lack of available shipping containers for many suppliers, and we arrive at our current status - which is simply that product availability for many items changes daily.Chart courtesy Quartz

Production / Supply Chain Problems
According to Intel's CEO, Pat Gelsinger, the chip industry is not expected to return back to a 'healthy supply-demand situation' until 2023. This has the most substantial impact on many 4K and 4K / UHD products, as well as interactive projectors and displays.
Our manufacturers are working hard to overcome inventory issues due to port delays and manufacturing challenges, but increases in consumer demand during the coming months will inevitably result in lower availability for many popular items.
TIP: If you already know what you want, we highly recommend ordering or reserving your product(s) today as they may not be available or have very limited inventory in the coming months.
