Great Big Clear Bright Projection Image

About Me Practical

Verified Buyer

Pros

  • Clear Bright Screen Image
  • Easy To Set Up
  • Good Remote
  • Great Price
  • Intuitive Controls
  • The Fan Is Whisper Quite

Cons

  • Could Be A Little Smaller

Best Uses

  • Larger Rooms

Comments about Canon LV-7490:

The 4000 Lumens were worth the money. I do presentations in a large room setting regularly on a large screen, but never have to dim the lights. it does not have all the whistles and bells of some projectors, but it has made my powerpoint presentations extremely effective.

I was also very pleased with the service and pricing you offered for this projector. Great service, price, and product!

The best in town

By ServiceClub

from Dallas, TX

Comments about Canon LV-7490:

Despite the lack of Apple lightning, DVI and HDMI jacks, this projector is bright, bright, bright. The next step up in brightness can cost $1600 additional, so this is a sweet spot at 4000 lumens. Others are always wanting to borrow this projector instead of using theirs, which often have all the pixels, bells, whistles, and connectivity. Canon quality in a maintenance friendly package. Light, and came with a carrying bag, which you will need as people will want to use it. This projector is used for presentations and not HDTV or movies. It's quiet enough for meetings.

      Comments about Canon LV-7490:

We just bought this projector and right out of the box I can tell you it is great. The only problem we have found is that we were spoiled by our previous Canon project because it had every connection I believe possible for the time I bought it, around 2003. I was use to having a DVI, and in this day and age every projector should have a HDMI as well, this projector has neither. Thank goodness for adapters. We use this projector as our home Theater projection and with 4000 lumens, in a room with the lights on, there is no problem except needing adapters to connect to your newer computers.

It does not have a built in DVD player. For very little, you could
pick up an external DVD player and send your movies into the projector
                  from there.
It is absolutely a fantastic projector, very very bright and clear.
As for voltage, you will need to pick up a kit for overseas.

It would need a remote for that. The ir is in the front of the projector.

I don't see a picture of the back of the projector so I'm not sure if there is an IR receiver located there. When you aim the remote at the screen the image will reflect to the IR receiver on the front of the projector. Or you can always purchase an IR repeater if you are a further distance back and need the stronger signal.
